When we learn something new, sometimes there are words and acronyms that we may not understand. That’s okay! These subjects may be new to us and as long as we seek opportunities to learn, we can become better at understanding our peers around us.
The Diversity Dictionary is a comprehensive dictionary that defines words and acronyms specifically related to the diverse groups we talk about on this website: race, LGBTQ+, gender inclusion, and students with disabilities.
Especially in theatre and film, we are constantly meeting and interacting with different people from different backgrounds. We can do our part by putting in the effort to be more familiar with these terms and implement them appropriately into our everyday language.
