The protection and privacy of all our users are very important to us. This Privacy Policy describes how your or your child’s personal information is collected, used, and shared when you or your child visit or make a purchase from https://jskstories.com (the “Site”). It aso describes how you can control the use and disclosure of information that is collected from either you or your child.
On our JSK Stories website, we use reasonable efforts to abide by and follow the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). We recommend that all parents and guardians monitor the websites visited by their children. We encourage you to instruct your children to never provide personal information (including information about themselves or their families) without your permission.
We only collect and use email addresses when users opt-in. Users must be at least 13 years old to participate. If users are younger than 13 years old, parental permission must be provided to participate.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information Provided By You Or Your Child
A large protion of JSK Stories website can be enjoyed without providing any personal information. However, some services may ask you or your child for persoanl information. It is the intent of JSK Stoires to never ask for more personal information than is reasonably required to perform the intended service.
JSK Stories operates under an “opt-in” policy for personal information collection such as name, email address, home address, and age.
This information is collected through comments made on the website (name or username), email opt-ins (such as the JSK Stories Newsletter), through our submissions email (i.e. when your child submits a writing prompt or design), or through our online shop.
This information will be used to share submitted work (such as attaching the first name/username, age, and state to a writing prompt), notifying contest winners, or to facilitate conversation in the comments section.
Information Collected Automatically
Additionally, when you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

JSK Stories uses the personal information we collect for the purposes indicated at the time you or child provides such information. Please note, in accordance with COPPA, any child under the age of 13 must have parental consent before providing any personal information. Some of those puposes include:
- Enable you or your child to participate in the interactive portions of the website
- Develop new content and features
- Perform any contractual obligations
- Send notifications related to your personal account
- Send newsletters or messages on upcoming JSK Stories products, website updates, and promotions
- Share submissions sent in by users (first name/username, age, and state only)
- Fulfill any orders made through the site
- Screen for potential risk and fraud
- Analyze traffic and other information to imrpove services and information offered on the site
- Respond to customer service requests
- Ban a user temporarily or permanently from our website if that user engages in inappropriate conduct on the site.
SCREENING INFORMATION
Anything that is submitted on the JSK Stories website by our users is screened by human eyes, regardless of a child’s age. We screen out any personal/identifiable information in addition to ensuring that the language is appropriate, bullies are removed, there is no sexual innuendos, and subjects are age-appropriate for the 10-14 age group.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

If, at any time, you want to stop receiving such updates and product information from JSK Stories, just email us at permissions@jskstories.com. Our mailings and emails will also include information or a link allowing you to ask to opt-out of receiving such information in the future.
Parents and guardians have the rights to refuse us permission to collect personal information from your child. You also have the right to request us to delete any personal information we may have collected from our records. The JSK Stories website may include links to other websites and services. Any persoanl information collected on those sites is subject to their individual Privacy Policies.
GDPR POLICY
JSK Stories, LLC is service provider, located outside the EU. Our only physical location is based in the United States of America. We provide Internet-based services to customers outside the EU. Visitors to our Internet services can use our services when they travel to other countries, including within the EU.
JSK Stories does not collect personally identifiable information of any of it’s users. We only collect personal information when the user chooses to opt-in. Users must be at least 13 years old to participate. If users are younger than 13 years old, parental permission must be provided to participate.
If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.
