The course of history has always been shaped by women. However, until recent years, women’s contributions and accomplishments have either been minimized or completely ignored in favor of a male-centered narrative. As these efforts to recognize the contributions of women continue to get underway, we are learning more and more every day about the sheer volume of accomplishments that we haven’t been taught about before.

Through your own research, look up 3 different women who have made a significant contribution to history that are new to you and take notes on them and their accomplishments. Compile your research into 1-2 paragraphs along with your thoughts on why you might not have been aware of these specific women’s accomplishments until now.
