We live in a world with so much diversity! Learning and talking about students with disabilities is important for our education. When we are educated about disabilities, we can have a better understanding on how to properly communicate and interact with our fellow peers. Having that knowledge prevents us from judging others.

Below are some writing prompts and scenarios for you to consider. The writing prompts contain questions for you to consider and think about. These questions can help you form your own thoughts about disabilities. The scenarios are scenes or statements for you to discuss with others. By discussing these things with your friends or classmates, writing your thoughts in your journal, and then applying what you learn into real life, we are actively becoming more supportive of our peers and friends who have a disability. None of us are perfect and we all have questions. These prompts and scenarios were made especially for this purpose. The more we practice and the more we learn, the more appreciation and understanding we will have.
