No matter your gender, there is power in how you identify! You can find a great sense of community and support when you learn about others who fight for equality and empowerment. Whether that individual identifies as the same gender as you or not- the overall fight for diversity, inclusion, unity, and equality is empowering. There is inspiration to be found from those who stand up for what is right and what is just.

Sometimes, people may feel meek or timid about their gender. Members of the LGBTQ+ community who are transitioning or who have transitioned feel like members of society may shut them out or ridicule them. Those who are genderfluid may feel like they are not accepted by any one group or gender. That is why educating yourself about current events and modern-day heroes can be uplifting and inspirational. There is a saying that “no one is ever alone”. Those words never truly sink in until you discover and experience it for yourself. By learning about modern-day heroes and collective community events, you will begin to feel that sense of belonging. A sense of unity and empowerment that we all strive to feel- a feeling of safety that we should always feel in our own skin.
