Every year, the month of June is also referred to as LGBTQ Pride month. Pride Month is a time to reflect upon LGBTQ history, the progress of the LGBTQ civil rights movement, as well as feeling proud about your own identity. Pride is celebrated with parades and events throughout June that are meant to celebrate with other members of the community as well as helping to build the community itself. Pride month is a great time to get involved and see how you can help make a difference.

Think about some of the reasons that we have Pride Month. On your own, do some research into the history of Pride and why it takes place in the month of June. You can also consider what are some ways during Pride Month that you can help LGBTQ students that you might know. List some of your ideas or findings in 1-2 paragraphs.
